Study Break...

I guess I should have been studying, but with such nice weather I couldn't resist a few hours on the lake.  With high water we had a tip that there was a new opportunity to cross into Robert's Creek...sure enough.  Although, the current on the other side had me at a stand still for a little while.

Open Water

With relatively warm temperatures (34 degrees) and mostly open water we spent the morning enjoying being outside and on the water.  The only downside was cold fingers and putting on and taking off a gazillion layers of winter kayaking gear.

Oil and Water

'I watch the ripples change their size, But never leave the stream of warm impermanence, and so the days float through my eyes.' ~  "Changes", David Bowie

I was making dinner.  The shapes and colors of the oils in the boiling water were especially interesting the way they slowly swirled and changed or exploded with activity with contact.  Dinner had to wait.  I played with the oils and light but finally decided I needed some different equipment.  Late dinner, but this crazy form of entertainment was better than a movie.

Now I want to make this into a Batik fabric...
